  1. With all the new houses being built in the valley I’ve been wondering where the water for all those people will come from. The aquifer under the Spring Mountains which covers this valley, Death Valley and more, has been drawn down so far the springs that drew the Mormons to settle here stopped flowing a long time ago. Lake Mead is still 139′ below full. It looks like the problem may have been kicked down the road but I don’t think it’s gone.
